I will take some time for the English people that are following us....
Almost four months have passed since we left Jeu Les Bois. It is an amazing adventure: we met a lot of people, saw beautiful nature (the pictures you can easily follow at our site) and the relation with our two horses and Lily (our mule) is very close. We sleep almost all the time in our tent next to them. They are in great shape. Although we had to stop for 5 days a month ago because Indigo, the horse of my husband had pain at his left foot: arthrose. The veterinarian came, gave injections and treatment to do and said to take 4 days of. Not sure that we could finish our trip....
But Indigo got well again and we took of again with some less kilometers a day (15-20 km).

In the Pyreneen , just the day after Lourdes we had a very bad experience: Lily fell down. Because the weather was very wet , the roads were in bad shape and we were on very small roads with the deep next to the road. So she touched with her package a tree and her two back feet came next to the road and she fell down because the earth was going away.... She rolled two times and felled three meters after down; we didn't see her from where we were. So we got down also (very dangerous for us also but what to do else?).
She was on her feet, a little bit dizzy but ok. Some stuff of the materials was broken but that was not important. We realized that this could have been the end of our dream. We decided to take only big roads from than of. The same evening we had terrible weather,80 mm came down and the source that run in the field changed from his place and came in our tent..... Everything was wet! But we managed to dry and after one day rest we took of again.

We met a lot of nice and very open people and shared time, food and stories. I think that is one of the very positive things of our journey. We are now on our way back. We have still a lot of mountains to take. It is very physical. We get up between 6 and 7 in the morning. It takes two hours : for eating 30 minutes, for putting everything on our horses. Than we walk, ride for 4-6 hours. And than we have to take everything of, make a paddock for the horses, put on the tent. Take care of the horses (food, water, sometimes wash them if we can).
So we sleep well...and we lost some kilos...

One day a week we have rest. I write my story for the site than and try to put the photos ( if Internet works). We wash our clothes and repair things that have broken. So w're not sitting and doing nothing.
But we enjoy so much what w're doing: the nature is so beautiful, on our horses you can enjoy better than when you're walking. Of course there are also moments that you are so tired or that the heat or rain is not nice, the flies that are attacking the horses, all shops closed when you arrive in a little town.... But that is just a little moment and every evening we are very grateful that we can do this.

Sorry that I don't write every time in English but than just enjoy our photos and from now on also our videos .And you can see where we are exactly in France.
Best wishes Ineke and Johnny.
